Our story
Kiwi Flame is small-batch peri-peri sauce, made by one person in Rolleston.
One batch at a time
A batch of Kiwi Flame is 15 litres of sauce. That comes out at about 55 bottles, each one labelled and sealed by hand.
It's slower than a factory, and every bottle has been through the same pair of hands.
One blend, three heats
Every label says Signature Blend. Mild, Medium and Hot are three heats of it, so whichever you pick, it tastes like Kiwi Flame.
Taken seriously, mostly
The sauce is serious. The rest of it, less so. Mild is Nana Approved. Medium is She'll Be Right. Hot comes with paperwork, because some decisions should be in writing.
Where it's going
Kiwi Flame started as a passion project. The plan is to grow it into a sauce New Zealand is proud of, one stockist and one town at a time.
