Good sauce. Questionable decisions.
Made in New Zealand. Not made for boring food.
Questionable decision no. 17Doubling it in the recipe, for flavour.
Three heats. One Signature Blend.
Mild is for the whole table. Medium has a heat you'll notice. Hot comes with paperwork. Pick the one that suits you, not the one that impresses anyone.
What it goes on
Most things, honestly. A few places to start:
- Chips. Obviously.
- Shake the bottle, pour, and eat them before they go soggy.
- Chicken that needed a bit of help.
- Toss thighs or drumsticks through it before they hit the barbecue, then brush on a little more at the end. Medium
- Eggs, any style.
- A few dots over fried or scrambled eggs. Mild, if it's early. Mild
- The burger you'll keep talking about.
- Stir a spoonful into mayo for the bun, or go straight onto the patty.
- Roast potatoes, crunchy bits especially.
- Toss them through just before serving, while they're still crisp. Medium
The Hot one comes with paperwork.
Coded bottles of Hot hide a QR code under the gold seal. Peel it back, scan it with your phone, sign the waiver with your finger, and your town gets a point in Town Wars.
It's a novelty: not a legal liability waiver, and it doesn't affect your consumer rights. It is very official-looking.
Sample code. It opens the practice waiver.
Kiwi Flame
Official Heat Liability Waiver
I, the undersigned, confirm that I have voluntarily selected Kiwi Flame Hot despite the availability of two perfectly sensible alternatives.
I accept that “she'll be right” is an expression of optimism, not a scientific guarantee.
